Groton Long Point Police Revive Man on Boardwalk

Responding personnel assessed the man was in cardiac arrest.

GROTON, CT – Groton Long Point Police helped resuscitate a man who collapsed Thursday on the West Shore Avenue Boardwalk, The Day reported.

Police received calls about a man collapsing on the boardwalk who was not breathing, according to The Day. They assessed the man was in cardiac arrest, and used a defibrillator to re-establish a pulse and breath.

Responding personnel included Groton Long Point Fire Department, Groton Town Police Department and Mystic River Ambulance, according to The Day. The man was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London.
