Groton Man Charged With Car Burglaries

Police captured two suspects after a report of car burglaries.

GROTON, CT — A 20-year-old Groton resident and a juvenile were arrested for breaking into vehicles in the Willow Point neighborhood, according to police.

Police set up a perimeter Aug. 21 and captured Tyrise Thompkins, 20, and the juvenile, police said. A stolen motor vehicle was also found a short distance from the scene and the suspects were connected to it.

Both were charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, sixth-degree larceny and three counts each of burglary, conspiracy, and criminal attempt to commit larceny.
