Groton Man Charged With Producing Child Porn Enters Plea, Prosecutors Say
A Groton man could be in prison for decades in a child pornography case, according to federal prosecutors.
GROTON, CT — A Groton man has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges, according to a statement from Mark H. Silverman, Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
Michael Landon, 38, pleaded guilty to charges of production of child pornography and possessing and accessing with intent to view child pornography.
He has been detained since he was arrested on related state charges in June 2023.

In April 2023, law enforcement seized his iPhone. A forensic analysis of the phone found Landon in sexually explicit contact with minors under the age of 12 and other videos depicting child sexual abuse, according to the prosecutor's statement.
He could spend up to 50 years in prison when he is sentenced July 2.
