• His unmarked Connecticut grave lay forgotten for 200 Years. How they figured out who he was. (courant.com) — A longtime Groton-area history lover helped crack the mystery of an unknown British sailor buried near Mystic, finally identifying him as William Adamson more than 200 years after his death. Drawing on ties to Fort Griswold and Groton Long Point, local residents and historians worked with overseas researchers to honor Adamson with a new marker and a moving cemetery ceremony attended by his descendant.

• Navy seeks shipyards able to build SSN(X) submarine (thevanguardusa.com) — Groton's Electric Boat yard is singled out as one of just two realistic candidates to build the Navy's next-generation SSN(X) attack submarines, potentially shaping the region's shipbuilding future for decades. While the notice is only early market research, it underscores Groton's central role in nuclear submarine construction and hints at long-term industrial and employment implications for southeastern Connecticut.

- Hello everyone I'm back .
I haven't been on for awhile hope you are all doing great (Nextdoor Groton Bank Thames River) - I have a washer and dryer I'm trying to get ride off.
The dryer works fine but the washer just won't work on a normal cycle. It has all new parts and works in test mode but not in the regular wash cycle… (Nextdoor Groton)
