Groton Man Returns To Prison After Being Released To Donate Kidney
Police said a Groton man has returned to prison after previously being released to donate a kidney for his wife.

GROTON, CT - Police said a Groton man has returned to prison after previously being released to donate a kidney for his wife, the New London Day reported. He has now been charged and convicted of a new crime, police said.
Police said James C. Ross, 33, had previously pleaded guilty to possessing and intending to sell heroin in December 2016, according to the New London Day. He was allowed to post bond and be electronically monitored in order to take care of affairs regarding the kidney. Police said the suspect was arrested September 4 for allegedly stealing $400 worth of clothing from a J.C. Penny store at the Crystal Mall, according to the New London Day. He was subsequently arrested after being found with have crack cocaine in his pocket, police said.
