Groton Nurse Has License Placed on Probation: Report

GROTON, CT - The Connecticut Health I-Team Editor Kate Farrish reports that a total of four nurses had their licenses revoked and eight others were disciplined by the State Board of Examiners for Nursing this week.

One of the nurses disciplined was an LPN from Groton, Shelly Volpe, who has her licence placed on probation for four years, according to the report.

According to C-HIT, Volpe, took oxycodone and other drugs from the Norwich Rehabilitation and Care Center she worked at, and falsified one or more drug reports.
