Groton Offering Babysitting Certification Class

Participants can will be taught basic first aid, how to manage a babysitting business and so much more.

GROTON, CT — The city will be hosting a Red Cross Babysitters Certification Class this month, where participants will be taught a number of skills that are essential proper child care.

The class is open to kids and teens between the ages of 11 and 15, and is limited to 16 students. The class will take place Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the City of Groton Municipal Building (295 Meridian Street). Students are encouraged to bring a bag lunch.

  • Basic first aid
  • How to care for babies and kids up to 10-years-old
  • How to make playtime fun with age-appropriate games
  • How to manage your babysitting business

The cost is $45 per person.
