Groton Police Car Show Raises Over $1,000 For MADD

Police said the show featured 70 awesome cars.

GROTON, CT — Groton Town police said the department's First Annual Groton Police MADD Car Show was a great success. The event was held Sunday, Aug. 26 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Esker Point Beach.

Police said on Facebook that 70 awesome cars were featured during the show, and those who came to enjoy the classic vehicles helped raise $1,200 for Mother Against Drunk Driving (MADD).

Pictures posted on the department's Facebook page showcase a number of the featured vehicles, which can be viewed here.

According to their website, the mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving is to "end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes and prevent underage drinking."
