Groton Police Officer Rescues 2 From Burning House
The officer was the first to arrive on the scene and helped an elderly man and his daughter out of the home.

GROTON, CT —A Groton Police officer rescued two people from a burning home Wednesday.
Officer Eric Korteweg arrived first on scene and found an elderly man and his daughter struggling to get out of a smoky room, according to The Day. Korteweg got both of them out while firefighters arrived to fight the fire and provide medical assistance.
The man sustained minor injuries.
