Groton Police Seek Suspected Stop & Shop Robber

Anyone with information to contact the Groton Town Police Department immediately.

GROTON, CT - Police are investigating the robbery of a local Stop & Shop store, and are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect.

On Tuesday at approximately 10:41 a.m. the Groton Town Police responded to Stop & Shop, located at 220 Route 12, for a robbery. The suspect entered the store and went to the customer service desk.

Police said he passed a note at the customer service desk, demanding money be put into a plastic bag. The suspect made it out of the store with an unspecified amount of cash.

A firearm was implied in the note, but not displayed. The suspect left the store towards Gold Star Highway, and no vehicle information is currently available.

Police are seeking your assistance in identifying the suspect, and ask anyone with information to contact the Groton Town Police Department immediately.
