Groton School Officials Anxious About Possible Education Cuts: Report

The school district could face very large class sizes and other reductions without a state budget.

GROTON, CT —Groton schools could face large class sizes and cuts to programs after cuts to the Board of Education budget and the possibility of a reduction in state aid.

Under Gov. Dannel Malloy's plan Groton would lose $16.57 million in education cost sharing, according to The Day. Groton Superintendent Michael Graner said there would be no way to operate Groton schools with such a large cut.
