Groton Sub Base To Perform Security Drills, Neighbors Advised

The submarine base in Groton is warning neighbors not to be alarmed as the base performs security drills.

GROTON, CT - The submarine base in Groton is warning neighbors not to be alarmed as the base performs security drills., Eyewitness News 3 reported. The drills will take place this week, according to base officials.

Base officials said they want to avoid causing any kind of alarm in the community during this time, according to Eyewitness News 3. The live-fire drills are planned for Tuesday through Thursday as well as two days the following week, Eyewitness News 3 reported. They are scheduled only between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
