Groton Woman Charged With Sex Trafficking, Heroin Offenses Related To Overdose
Court officials said a Groton woman has been sentenced to prison on charges related to sex trafficking and heroin offenses.

GROTON, CT - Court officials said a Groton woman was sentenced Tuesday to four years in prison on charges of sex trafficking of a minor and heroin distribution offenses. His sentence will be followed by five years of supervised release.
Court officials said Adele Bouthillier, 43, of Groton let an associate, Ramon Gomez of Groton, stay in her motel room and engage in prostitution with a 17-year old on May 28, 2016, according to a release. Both Gomez and Bouthillier, who was engaged in prostitution and worked with Gomez, knew that the victim was under the age of 18, officials said.

Officials said Bouthillier supplied the young female victim with heroin, which she snorted, and awoke the next morning to find the victim unresponsive. The suspect waited four hours before calling 911, officials said.
The victim was administered two doses of Narcan (Naloxone), which were deemed unsuccessful, before she was transported to the hospital and died later that morning.

Bouthillier was arrested on June 8, 2016, and pleaded guilty on March 30, 2017, to conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of a minor and possession with intent to distribute heroin, officials said.
