Groton Woman Stole Bottle of Vodka from Liquor Store: Orange Police

ORANGE, CT — A Groton woman was arrested at New London Court on a warrant for a theft at an Orange-based liquor store, Orange police said.

Officers learned that Jessica Hilbert, 37, of Groton, would be appearing at the New London Court on an unrelated matter on Dec. 5, and served a warrant on her there, police said.

The warrant stemmed from a theft at the Discount Wine & Liquor store on August 24, when Hilbert took a bottle of vodka worth $13.99 without paying for it, police said.

Investigation led to the issuance of an arrest warrant, and Hilbert is charged with sixth-degree larceny.
