Hempsted Houses celebrate Halloween this Saturday
Meet the ghosts of eight New Londoners with ghoulish stories to tell

The Hempsted Houses will be open for Halloween haunting on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 5-8 p.m.
Hear the stories of a smallpox victim, a patriot who died at the Battle of Fort Griswold, a woman who was hung on Gallows Lane for allegedly killing her baby, a woman who died when her skirt caught fire while cooking, and others.
See New London’s oldest house at twilight, talk with the ghosts and also make s’mores over an open fire.
Performers include staff members and local students who participated in an arts program at Hempsted earlier this summer.
Suggested donation is $7 for adults; $6 for AAA and seniors; $4 for kids 6-18, and $15 for families. Free for Connecticut Landmarks members.
