At Least 2 Dozen Rounds Fired In Groton Hookah Lounge Shooting: Police
Police are investigating after a fight at a Groton hookah lounge led to multiple rounds of gunfire.
GROTON, CT — At least two dozen shots were fired at a Groton hookah lounge early Monday morning, according to Town of Groton police. Police were patrolling the area of Pleasant Valley Road South at 3:25 a.m. when they heard gunfire coming from the area of the Midnight Hookah Lounge.
Police arrived at the establishment to find several patrons fleeing to their vehicles and departing.
Police investigated and found a fight broke out inside the hookah lounge that continued outside. Police said an initial investigation has revealed that multiple parties exchanged gunfire with handguns in the parking lot.

Investigators contacted area hospitals but did not learn of anybody who may have been injured in the shooting incident.
At least one neighboring business appears to have been impacted by a stray bullet, according to police.

The hookah lounge has been the site of multiple crimes in the past. Some of the incidents include a man being charged in 2022 with a 2020 shooting at the establishment and previous reports of gunfire.
