Local Author to Read from Book 'The Magic Table' In Groton
A local Mystic author will read an excerpt from his book next week in Groton, featuring musical accompaniment.
GROTON, CT - Mystic author Americo Petrocelli will read an excerpt from his book "The Magic Table: Prose & Poetry Inspired by the Over-Eighty Crowd" on Wednesday, August 16, at 3 p.m. The reading will feature musical accompaniment from Susan Graham on harp.
The event will take place at Grille 92 at Fairview, located at 235 Lestertown Road in Groton. The restaurant will be open and serving dinner, according to a release. "The Magic Table" is a collection of poetry reflecting on what is talked about, laughed about and felt in a society of elders. Having moved into a retirement community at age 84, the author discovers beauty, friendship, humor, memories and newfound pursuits to celebrate in later life.
