I am writing to let you know about a special girl with a special project. Michaela is 11 years old and has severe anxiety. Horses have been a huge part of her therapy and have helped he build he confidence and self esteem. Michaela is a sweet and gentle girl who is kind to everyone. She truely doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She wants to someday be a vet so she can rescue animals, but for now she is starting by trying to help horses because they help her. Please check out her website and post to you facebook page and any other help getting her project some more exposure would be great. She is very shy but really wants to make this a successful animal rescue project.
She has raised enough money to cover the adoption fee for a rescue pony named Fantasia. Fantasia was brought up by a local rescue from the New Holland Auction in Pennsylvania. Michaela was fostering this special pony and can now give her a permanent home. Michaela wants to train Fantasia to raise awareness about kill auctions in the United States. She hopes that by showing people that rescues can be retrained that it will make more people willing to adopt them from auctions and rescues and give them good homes. Michaela has had over 300 views on her website and more that 65 shares on facebook. Michaela hopes to continue spreading the word. ”Rescue, Retrain, Ride!”
