Man Who Barricaded Himself Inside Groton Home In Custody: Report
Police said some residents of nearby homes were instructed to shelter in place, and some were evacuated.

GROTON, CT — Police said a man who barricaded himself inside a Groton City home Friday morning is in custody, according to media reports. Police said they were alerted of the incident around 4 a.m.
According to NBC Connecticut, residents of nearby homes were instructed to shelter in place, however police also evacuated at least 10 homes. Some nearby roads were closed by police.
According to News 8, the home is located on Fleming Court and officers were on the scene. The incident was isolated to the home, police said.

Police said the man was alone in the house and has weapons registered to him, according to NBC Connecticut. No injuries were reported, police said.
