Man Charged in Groton Leads Police on Foot Chase: Report

STONINGTON, CT – A man charged with driving under the influence over the weekend is in custody after police said they were led on a foot chase by him Thursday, The Day reported.

Officers recognized Andre Fair, 43, while conducting animal control business at a mobile home park, according to The Day. He had been charged Sunday with driving under the influence in Groton.

Fair fled the scene and attempted to evade police, who called on Groton Town police to assist in locating Fair, according to The Day. Police said Fair ran through woods and hid behind a stone wall before eventually giving himself up.
