Man Sentenced For DUI Crash In Groton That Killed Child: Report
Police said the accused's blood alcohol level was 0.21 percent after the crash.

GROTON, CT — A 30-year-old Griswold father was sentenced to six years in prison Thursday for a 2016 alleged drunken driving crash that resulted in the death of his 4-year-old daughter, the New London Day reported. Police said the accused's blood alcohol level was 0.21 percent after the crash.
According to the New London Day, police said David J. Ali's vehicle was hit by a BMW on Oct. 31, 2016, while attempting to make a left turn on on Gold Star Highway in Groton. Ali's daughter was seated in a car seat, wearing her Halloween costume, at the time of the crash and suffered a fatal head injury.
