Manslaughter Arrest Made In Fatal 2017 Groton Crash: CSP
The suspect was trying to elude authorities when he crash into another vehicle on Route 184.

GROTON, CT — A 28-year-old Medford, MA man was arrested on a warrant charging him with multiple counts of manslaughter in connection with a fatal crash in March 2017 in Groton, according to the Connecticut State Police.
Valery Labossiere, who was fleeing from state police in a stolen vehicle, crashed into a vehicle on Route 184, killing the passenger. He was arrested at the time, but was arrested on new charges this week:
- Manslaughter 1st degree
- Manslaughter 2nd degree
- Assault 2nd degree
- Reckless Endangerment 1st degree
- Speeding (2 counts)
- Failure to Drive in Proper Lane - Multiple Lane Highway
- Failure to Obey Control Signal
His bail was set at $300,000, and he is due in court this month.
