Hello Gardeners,
We're very excited to announce that the Eastern
Connecticut Community Garden Association is helping the Noank School Public
Gardens move forward with the garden by readying and planting 10 or so extra
beds to grow produce to be donated to local food banks. The ECCGA will be
delivering a few truckloads of compost to the garden this week in preparation
for a TUESDAY, AUGUST
22 Work Party from 1 - 3:30 p.m. Emma Sutphen of the Coogan Farm and
Dennison Pequotsepos Nature Center will be heading up this planting party,
generously offering her services. We are looking for any volunteers who wish to
help plant these garden boxes. If anyone has extra wheelbarrows, shovels and
rakes, please bring them along.
Message us here or on Facebook if you can help or
if you need more information.
