Parking Ban in Effect for City of Groton in Anticipation of Winter Weather

The city says this ban is necessary in order for city snow removal teams to be able to work quickly and safely.

Beginning on Thursday, February 9 at 1 a.m., the City of Groton will be enacting a parking ban on all city streets. The parking ban will run through Friday, February 10 at 8 a.m.

This ban is necessary in order for city snow removal teams to be able to work quickly and safely.

Parking is prohibited on all City of Groton streets during this time. Specifically, vehicles parked on hills or near intersections present the most danger for the snowplow operators.

Vehicles in violation of the snow removal parking ban may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
