Person Seriously Injured After 30-Foot Fall In Groton: Report
Fire officials said a person was seriously injured after falling 30 feet at the Groton Sewage Treatment Plant.

GROTON, CT — Fire officials said a person was seriously injured Monday after falling approximately 30 feet at the Groton Sewage Treatment Plant, according to media reports. The victim was airlifted by LifeStar to the hospital for treatment, officials said.
Officials said firefighters were able to rescue the victim using a Stokes basket, according to NBC Connecticut.The victim suffered "significant injuries," officials said.
According to the New London Day, Poquonnock Bridge Fire District Chief Joe Winski said he did not know how the victim fell. Old Mystic and Submarine Base firefighters also responded to the incident.
