Police Seeking Groton Home Invasion Suspects Who Attacked Woman With Bat: Report

Police are seeking two masked men who allegedly struck a woman multiple times with a baseball bat during a Groton home invasion.

GROTON, CT - Groton police are seeking two armed masked men who allegedly assaulted a woman with a baseball bat during a home invasion, according to media reports. The incident occurred Wednesday night at a Buddington road residence, police said.

Police said two men wearing masks and dark clothing entered the residence around 10 p.m., as reported by News 8. The suspects were holding a firearm and a baseball bat, police said. Police said the victim was hit multiple times with the bat by the suspects, NBC Connecticut reported. She was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police said the other occupants of the home were held at gunpoint, according to News 8. The victims said items such as gaming systems and cell phones were stolen from them before the suspects fled on foot.

Police describe the suspects as males with thin builds wearing dark clothes, according to NBC Connecticut. Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately.
