Police Seeking Information About Groton Crash: Report

GROTON, CT — Police said they are seeking information regarding a crash that occurred Tuesday night when a car collided with a scooter, the New London Day reported. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Route 12 north of Crystal Lake Road, police said.

According to the Day, police said the crash involved a Yamaha scooter and a 2015 Volkswagen Passat. The driver of the scooter was found with serious injuries that were not life-threatening and was subsequently taken to a hospital, police said.

Police said the abandoned car was located nearby, according to the Day. Police ask anyone with information about the incident to contact them immediately.
