"The Prize that Got Away"

There will be a Meeting and Potluck supper of the
Noank Historical Society on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 starting at 6:00 PM at the
Latham-Chester store building at the foot of Main Street near Town Dock in
Noank, CT.

The speaker topic following at 7:30 PM will involve
a history of the relationship between Connecticut and Fishers Island and should
be of interest to many of us who live in this area. Speaker Pierce Rafferty from
the Fisher's Island Ferguson Museum will present "The Prize that Got Away"
concerning the tangled relations between the Island and the Mainland, including
border disputes, annexation attempts as well as the Lobster
Wars.
