S.T.E.P.S. Thanks 2015/2016 Funders
Grant acknowledgements for girls empowerment programs

S.T.E.P.S., Inc. gratefully acknowledges the funders for the 2015/2016 program year. The support of these organizations shows the support of southeastern Connecticut for empowering girls through the development of positive self-esteem, confidence, and good decision-making skills.
Highlights for 2015/2016 include:
- More than 100 middle and high school girls in New London and Groton taking part in S.T.E.P.S. programs focused on wellness, self-esteem, and life-skills
- Production of a S.T.E.P.S. video, in partnership with Shoot the Moon Films, featuring and including content written by S.T.E.P.S. program participants
- The S.T.E.P.S. Summer Leadership Academy where women leaders from local business, military, and community organizations lead discussions and activities related to values, leadership, and increased self-awareness
Thank you to the individual, corporate, and community donors who made S.T.E.P.S. 2015/2016 programs possible including, Charter Oak Federal Credit Union, Mystic Rotary Club, Henry E. Niles Foundation, Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut, City of New London, Dime Bank Foundation, Chelsea Groton Foundation, Walmart Foundation, Frank Loomis Palmer Fund, and Pfizer Groton Laboratories.

S.T.E.P.S. 2016/2017 after school programs for middle and high school girls are currently in session.
