Updated 10/19/2015 - Saturday 8/22/15 -Send our troops some comfort!

Please stop by and help us to send comfort items to a medical unit that is treating soldiers in open tents, coping with flies, sand, and temps that can rise to 120 degrees this time of year.  This will be an ongoing project that our lodge will be working on, so if you can’t make it on the 22nd, call one of our contact numbers and we will try to accommodate you.  We can pick up donations locally (Groton area).

Listed below are some ideas of the ‘most wanted’ items that the unit would enjoy.  In addition, we will take cash donations and gift cards.  We can shop for you.  If you would like to, write out a card of support and drop it off to us. We will include them in our packages. 

1. Tube socks
2. Folgers coffee (in cans)
3. Snacks like Goldfish, Cheez-its, Unshelled peanuts, popcorn
4. Cookies - homemade or store bought (no chocolate chips or other melt-able chips)
5. Candy of all kinds - except chocolate, it will melt
6. Dog treats for soldier dogs
7. Inspirational reading material - uplifting stories of all kinds!
