Several Fires At Groton Laundromat Under Investigation: Report

GROTON, CT — Fire officials said they are investigating the cause of several fires that have occurred at a Groton laundromat over the past year, the New London Day reported. The most recent incident occurred Sunday around 8 a.m., officials said.

According to the Day, officials said in March that Super Saver Laundromat had seen two blazes in three months. Poquonnock Bridge fire Chief Joe Winski said Monday at least two more fires had occurred there since then.

Officials said the department's fire marshal is currently investigating all the fires that have occurred at the laundromat to find what is causing them, according to the Day.
