Teen Charged In Alleged Sexual Assault At Groton School: Police
Police said a New London teen has been charged in the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year old girl at a Groton school.

GROTON, CT - Police said a New London teen has been charged in the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year old girl, the New London Day reported. The incident occurred in January at Ella T. Grasso Technical High School, police said.
Police said Jose Contreras-Torres, 19, of New London was charged with sexual assault following an investigation by state police and Groton Town police, according to the New London Day. The incident allegedly occurred in the bathroom of an auto body shop at the school where the two were students, police said. Police said other students had witnessed the pair go into the bathroom and it was discussed on social media, the New London Day reported. The Department of Children and Families was contact by school administrators in February after the female student told the school psychologist about the incident.
