Thames Edge at Fairview 50% Sold; Announces New Contractor and Open House Schedule
Thames Edge at Fairview has sold more than 50% of the homes in Phase II of this new active senior living community; now hosting Open Houses.

Thames Edge at Fairview (www.fairviewCT.org/ThamesEdge) now has sold more than 50% of the homes in Phase II of this new active senior living community along the Thames River. The community, a development of the Odd Fellows Home of Connecticut, also announced a busy Open House schedule and the selection of a new contractor.
“55+ buyers in the Mystic-Groton area have been demanding a community that is different than traditional retirement options – less institutional, more in line with today’s active lifestyles,” said James Rosenman, Fairview’s Chief Executive Officer. “The enthusiastic response to Phase II shows they’re finding the flexibility and freedom they desire at Thames Edge.”
To help homebuyers understand the differences, Thames Edge will host a series of Open Houses – a free event nearly every other week that includes tours of the most popular single-level home floor plans, Q&A sessions with future neighbors, and sneak peeks of the clubhouse (opening late Summer 2015). The current schedule runs through July:
• June 17 – 4 pm
• July 14, July 29 – 11 am

Half of the new, private homes slated for Phase II have been sold and foundations have been poured for a quarter of those residences. Phase II of Thames Edge is located on the 70-acre Fairview campus, on the hill which gently rolls down to the Thames River.

A new contractor, Carlin Construction Company,LLC joined the Thames Edge team in last November. Carlin Construction is based in New London, Conn.
“Carlin Construction is known for their superior quality and attention to detail,” said Rosenman. “Many of our buyers are moving into a new home for the first time in more than 30 years – sometimes for the first time in their lives! We are excited about partnering with Carlin Construction to help buyers create distinctive homes for their next chapter.”
