2-Hour Delayed Opening Announced For Guilford Public Schools

Connecticut is still digging out following the major winter storm that barreled through the region over the weekend.

GUILFORD, CT — Guilford Public Schools has announced that it will operate under a two-hour delay on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

The school district, like many others around the state, was closed on Monday following the major winter storm that barreled through the region Sunday.

Guilford town offices were closed Monday due to the snow. Additionally, the Guilford Board of Education's Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Committee meeting and the first budget public forum, both scheduled for Monday evening, were canceled.

The second budget public forum will take place as scheduled on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 7:30 p.m., preceded by the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Committee meeting at 6 p.m. Both meetings will be held at Guilford High School.

The canceled budget public forum has been rescheduled to Thursday, Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at GHS.
