2 Roads Closed in Guilford, Eversource Crews Working on Outages: UPDATE

1900 Durham Road is closed just north of Alexander Drive for a tree across the road on smoking power lines.

1800 Route 80 is also closed.

If you do not have to drive, please stay home, police said. The roads are extremely slick and tree limbs and power lines are down throughout town.

If you see a line down call 911 and do not approach it.

“Also this snow is very heavy. If you are shoveling, take breaks or ask for help. If you have elderly or disabled neighbors, please check on them and offer to help. We have to look out for each other on days like today!,” police said.

The town of Guilford also shared on social media: Eversource crews are out in force responding to events during the storm. Crews will be working to restore power as soon as possible by taking care of emergency situations first, critical facilities and then addressing the largest number of customers and longest duration outages.
