GUILFORD, CT — First Selectman Matt Hoey announced there have been 25 new positive cases over the last week two weeks.
According to the state Department of Public Health, there are 162 confirmed and 18 probable cases.

Hoey said that while Guilford is "below the threshold" for a rollback of phase 3 opening guidelines to phase 2, "as New Haven did yesterday," and despite having among the lowest infection rate among neighboring towns, "Unless we reverse the new trend, we won’t able to make that claim much longer."
Hoey "implored" residents to "continue to comply with all safety guidelines regarding social distancing, gathering sizes, handwashing and the wearing of a mask when you cannot comply with the six-foot separation."
