After 30 Years Protecting And Serving, Police Chief Retires

Guilford Police Chief Jeffrey Hutchinson began his career in 1990 as a patrol officer. He was celebrated with a parade.

GUILFORD, CT — After three decades of service with the Guilford Police Department, Chief Jeffrey Hutchinson has retired.

A "social distancing retirement parade" for the chief included numerous police departments, fire departments and community members.

Hutchinson began his career with the Guilford Police Department in 1990 as a patrol officer and over the years, achieved the rank of Detective, Detective Sergeant, and Deputy Chief before promoting to Chief in 2015.
