This supportive space is designed for adults ages 60–75 who are looking to build meaningful relationships and feel more engaged in their community.
Through guided conversations, participants will reflect on life experiences, share personal stories, and explore future goals in a welcoming, judgment-free space while building social connections and reducing isolation.
The workshop will also introduce participants to local community resources and opportunities for engagement. This may include ways to stay socially connected, access support services, and become more involved in the community. &nbsp;Facilitated by Emma Dufresne, MSW, the workshop also incorporates elements such as guided meditation to encourage reflection and mindfulness.
Everyone is encouraged to share at their own comfort level, with respect and confidentiality at the core of the experience. There will also be an opportunity to complete quick check-ins before and after the workshop to reflect on their sense of connection and comfort in a group setting. Join us on Saturday, April 25th from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM on the Guilford Town Green for a family-friendly community event featuring food trucks, vendors, hands-on learning, a pop-up repair café, and more!
Honoring the spirit of the first Earth Day in 1970, which arose in response to the environmental crisis of land, water, and air pollution, many of this year's exhibitors will showcase how they are responding to the current environmental crisis of global warming.

The artists of Gallery One present "Inside Looking Out," an exhibition exploring the subtle boundary between our inner lives and the outside world. Whether it be painting, photography, collage or sculpture, the artists make meaningful connections through visual narratives.The show is on view at the Gallery at the Guilford Art Center from April 24 through May 17. Join the artists for the opening reception on Sunday, April 26, from 2pm to 4pm. 
Exhibiting artists include: Rosemary Cotnoir (Westbrook), Michael Fanelli (Clinton), Victor Filepp (New London), Karen Israel (West Hartford), Ann Knickerbocker (Old Saybrook), Brian McClear (West Hartford), T. An Evening to Connect, Learn, and Take Action
Madison, CT —&nbsp;The Madison Democratic Town Committee (MDTC) will host its&nbsp;Second Annual Community Advocacy Night&nbsp;on&nbsp;Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM&nbsp;at&nbsp;Memorial Town Hall on the Madison Green.
The event, which is free and open to the public, brings together a wide range of local and regional organizations dedicated to civic engagement, social justice, environmental stewardship, and community support. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives, learn about current initiatives, and discover ways to get involved.
Participating organizations include&nbsp;Indivisible, Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, Spectrum of Light, the League of Women Voters, Shoreline East, Guilford Peace Alliance, Connecticut Against Gun Violence, The Diaper Alliance, Madison CT Pride, Mad for Trees, and Madison Youth &amp; Family Services, among others.
“This event is about empowering our community,” said&nbsp;Andrea Aron, Vice Chair of the Madison Democratic Town Committee. “There are so many people who want to make a difference but aren’t sure where to start. Advocacy Night creates a welcoming space to connect with organizations doing meaningful work and to find a path to get involved.”
Designed to be both informative and accessible, the evening encourages residents of all ages and backgrounds to explore issues they care about and take the next step toward civic participation.
