GUILFORD, CT — Guilford Parks & Recreation, in partnership with the Conservation Commission and Sustainable Guilford Task Force, will host an Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 25, on the Guilford Green.
Over 40 vendors are expected to participate in the event, which will feature local businesses, artisans, environmental organizations, community groups, craft goods, hands-on learning, a pop-up repair café, food trucks, and more.
"Honoring the spirit of the first Earth Day in 1970, which arose in response to the environmental crisis of land, water, and air pollution, many of this year's exhibitors will showcase how they are responding to the current environmental crisis of global warming," Guilford Parks & Rec. says on its website.
The celebration is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
