β’ Milling and Resurfacing Route 1 in Guilford (ct.gov) β Expect overnight lane closures on Route 1 in Guilford from York Street to the Madison line while CTDOT mills and resurfaces a 2.63βmile stretch between September 21 and October 9. Work will run 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday nights through Friday mornings, with traffic control guiding drivers and possible schedule changes if weather interferes.

β’ Guilford's defense shuts down Amity in season-opening win (nhregister.com) β Guilford High's football team opened its season with a strong 21β7 home win over Amity, powered by a stingy defense and big plays from junior back Shane Connelly and sophomore quarterback Ryan Lynch. The Grizzlies built a 21β0 halftime lead at Kavanaugh Field, highlighted by a defensive touchdown from Chase Hall, and held Amity to limited yardage until late in the game.
