- Raptors of Connecticut Dudley Farm, 2351 Durham Road — Saturday, Oct. 10, 11 a.m. to noon. Rose Crisci of Blue Moon Raptors, which rescues birds of prey, shows a great horned owl, an eastern screech owl, an American kestrel and a red-shouldered hawk in the Yellow Munger Barn; the program is free, but registration is requested.

- Fall Artisan Market and Guilford Flavors & Finds — Saturday, Oct. 10; market 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., tasting walk noon to 3 p.m. The free artisan market fills the Green, and for $10 a person, participating downtown businesses offer food and drink samples, demonstrations and in-store specials. - Oktoberfest — Saturday, Oct. 10, noon to 7 p.m. The Edelweiss Lodge's fundraiser for VFW Post 7666 pours German-style lagers from East Rock Brewing Co., with strolling accordionist Richard Cartier from noon to 2 p.m. and the Austrian Boys from 2 to 7 p.m.; admission is $20 for adults 21 and over (including a first drink when bought in advance), $5 for ages 15 to 20 and free for younger children.
