The Guilford Free Library has also canceled all programs. Senior bus services for medical appointment and necessities will continue to be available.
Guilford Interfaith Volunteers is looking to expand their capacity to deliver meals to seniors through the Meals on Wheels program. We anticipate an increase in demand for those who traditionally participated in the daily Senior Lunch Program. To meet this demand Meals on Wheels would benefit from additional volunteers to deliver meals. If you are interested in volunteering, they can be reached at 203-453-8359.
We also understand that the youth sports organizations have delayed the start of their respective spring sports programs and activities.
Guilford Public Schools closed Friday until further notice. As school officials cannot be sure that this illness will run its course in two weeks, they have decided to identify this closure as “indefinite” but not less than 2 weeks. This decision was made in consultation with and with the support of the health departments, elected officials and emergency management professionals.
