Did You Hear Loud Explosions in Guilford and Madison This Afternoon?

GUILFORD/MADISON — The Guilford Police Department has the answer on the loud explosion and boom sounds heard in Madison and Guilford Monday afternoon.

"We have had several people message us on Facebook and ask about the loud explosions and "booms" heard today between 1:30pm and 2pm near the Guilford Lakes Area," Guilford police posted on Facebook. "We just confirmed with Madison PD that there is an address in Madison on Copse Road that has a valid blasting permit for today and most likely the reason for the disturbance.
