East Haven and Guilford Police Departments Team Up For Major Child Porn Bust

The East Haven Police Department announced Wednesday that they arrested Brian Augur, 59, of Sidney Street in East Haven and charged him with first-degree possession of child pornography.

The East Haven and Guilford police departments conducted an investigation lasting several months, police said.

In December 2014, a search warrant was conducted at Augur’s residence, police said. Numerous items were seized during this search including a laptop computer.

Following an investigation, it was determined that more than 100 child pornographic images and more than 50 child pornographic videos were on Augur’s laptop, police said.

Augur was held on bond following his Monday.
