Explanation Given Why Route 1 on Branford, Guilford and North Branford Line Was Closed for 15 Hours
BREAKING: The road was first closed beginning 3 p.m. Thursday.

GUILFORD, CT — An explanation has been given for why Route 1 near the intersection of Route 22 was closed near the town line of Guilford, Branford and North Branford for close to 15 hours.
Branford police advised of the road closing Thursday afternoon around 3 p.m. and WTNH News 8 states that a truck took down utility wires, which is what necessitated the road closure.
Utility crews had to replace two utility poles and the damaged wires, News 8 reports, while adding that the road is now back open as of early Friday morning.
