FREE Financial Literacy Workshops in April - Courtesy of Connex Credit Union
No-obligation seminars open to everyone and will cover Homeowner's Insurance and Car Buying Tips

Connex Credit Union, one of Connecticut’s largest credit unions, offers two FREE financial literacy workshops in April. These no-obligation seminars are available to both members and non-members as part of the ConnexCares philanthropic initiative. Seasoned industry professionals will provide attendees with the information necessary to start restructuring their financial lives.
The first workshop, “Homeowners Insurance 101,” will be hosted by Danny Rocco, LUTCF, of CPM insurance. This seminar will feature an overview of homeowner’s insurance, including vital information about potential coverage gaps and a discussion about the importance of annual coverage reviews. This class occurs Thursday, April 6, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Connex’s North Haven Branch located at 412 Washington Ave.
The April workshops conclude with “Car Buying Tips” led by Connex Credit Union Assistant Vice President of Indirect Lending Mike Taylor. Mike will provide tips for selecting the right car and how to evaluate payment options once you do – including an analysis of leasing versus purchasing. Attendees will also discover how Connex can assist them through the loan process. “Car Buying Tips” takes place Thursday, April 20, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Connex’s North Haven Branch located at 412 Washington Ave.
