Guilford Arrests Include Two DUIs

Log from May 26 to June 1:

Guilford police handled a total of 353 incidents during this time period. There were 189 calls for police service from the public, and 153 officer initiated responses.

There were also 11 cancelled calls for service.

Police handed out a total of 78 written motor vehicle warnings, wrote 21 motor vehicle accident reports, handed out 23 infraction tickets. There were 163 phone calls into the police department requesting service and 20 residents who walked into the department during the week requesting assistance.

Additionally, there were 16 reports of false burglar alarms. There was 1 detective report written.

Arrested were:

Douglas M. Pierpont, 49, of 2965 Durham Road, Guilford, charged May 26th with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

Michael J. Gagliardi, 22, of 32 Old Hickory Lane, Branford, charged May 29th with speeding, and illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
