Guilford Could Become Home to a Medical Marijuana Dispensary

Currently there are six medical marijuana dispensaries in Connecticut and there is a proposal to increase that number to nine, the Hartford Courant reports.

The emphasis is on adding locations in both Fairfield and New Haven counties, and 16 applications have been received including two sites in Milford and one in Guilford.

C-3 Ventures LLC at 318 New Haven Avenue in Milford is seeking approval along with Coastal Care LLC at 582 Boston Post Road in Milford.

CT Wellness Group LLC at 75 Tupe Lane in Guilford is also seeking approval, the Courant reports.

Currently, there are 5,337 registered patients and the state will make a decision early next year on where to add the new dispensaries.

In New Haven County there is only one location, and that is in Branford at 469 East Main Street.
