Guilford Lawmakers Celebrate Completion of New Public Parking Lot

GUILFORD, CT — On Tuesday, State Rep. Sean Scanlon (D-Guilford), State Senator Ted Kennedy, Jr. (D-Branford) and First Selectman Joe Mazza (R-Guilford) will be joined by Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman and local business owners for a ribbon cutting ceremony on the recently-completed downtown parking lot behind the Guilford Green.

At the request of the town, lawmakers secured $446,000 in state funding in July 2015 to fund the project. Construction began in April and was completed this summer on time and on budget.

The ceremony will be held 8:30 a.m. at 15 Water Street.
