Guilford Man Injured In New Haven Boating Crash
The Guilford man survived, but his friend died.
NEW HAVEN, CT — Police have identified the victims of the Saturday boating crash in New Haven Harbor. The deceased is Joseph Regan, 43, of Milford. The injured occupant of the boat is Robert Ross, 47 of Guilford.
Regan was operating his 24-foot Seaswirl vessel accompanied by Ross Saturday night when the boat hit an object. Both men were ejected from the vessel, according to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Envrionmental Protection.
Ross made it back to the boat and radioed for help. Both were taken to the hospital and Regan was pronounced dead.
